OPINION: Why Do We Recycle?

Why do we recycle? Well Recycling is a great way for us to have a positive impact on the world we currently live on. Without Recycling our world would look way dirty and worse than it looks right now.

Recycling helps us conserve resources which is very important to both the environment and us the people. When we recycle, the materials are converted into new products, reducing the need to consume natural resources which will help to protect natural habitats for the future.

The natural resources that are recycled are paper and wood, plastic, metals, and glass.

Recycling paper and wood saves forests and trees, recycling plastic means less plastic is created which is a good thing, recycling metals means that there isn't really a need for mining which can be risky and expensive and the extraction of metal ores, and recycling glass reduces the need to use raw materials like sand.

Recycling not only helps conserve resources but it also helps protect our ecosystems and wildlife. It reduces the need to grow, harvest or extract new raw materials from the Earth. While also lessening the damage that is done to the world around us with: fewer forests cut down, rivers diverted, wild animals harmed or displaced, and less pollution of water, soil and air.

Recycling also helps keep all of the waste that is collected around the world out of the environment. For example if we don't recycle it fills up the oceans with debris that harms and even kills marine life

Not only does recycling protect the environment but it also helps save energy, and even protects people as well.

If we don't recycle then landfills fill up and sooner or later there's not going to be landfills and with nowhere to put our waste our world will look like the world from the Disney movie WALL-E.

Recycling=cleaner and better world, No Recycling= Dirty and Polluted World. We've just got to try and teach others who don't know why we recycle what it means to recycle.
