As years and years have gone by, air pollution has consistently remained a serious problem for the environment. One of the main causes of this is cars.
From here on out, all cars should be made as electric.
For starters, electric cars are much better for the environment than traditional cars. An electric car doesn't have any exhaust emissions. So, there is no fuel being released from them.
Also, many electric cars are made with environmentally-friendly materials. For example, the Ford Focus Electric is made out of recycled materials, and the Nissan Leaf has an interior that is made out of recycled water bottles, plastic bags, and reused car parts.
Another reason to switch to electric cars is that we wouldn't have to pay for gas! With an electric car, you don't have to worry about stopping by a gas station after you just panicked because your car was running out of gas. Instead, you can just plug your can in whenever you get home, or even while you're at work.
The power that an electric car's battery receives is produced by renewable sources. Non-renewable charging is produced domestically.
You would just save so much money with an electric car. Oil changes, engine issues, and transmission problems would no longer be an issue. The most you would have to worry about maintenance wise is probably just brakes and batteries. But, batteries could last up to 15 years, so the amount of money you would be saving would be insane.
As technology progresses, electric cars will become more and more efficient. Car companies should make an effort to start converting all of their future cars into electric cars.
Hopefully, within 10-20 all cars will be electric. Air pollution is a huge problem, and switching to electric cars would make amazing progress in reducing pollution.
